How ideas become objects
From an Idea to a Finished Piece
Custom work isn't limited to what's already in the shop.
A project can begin with a reference image, photograph, sketch, logo, existing item, or simply an idea. From there, I work out how to turn it into something that can actually be made, whether that means laser cutting multiple layers, engraving, painting, assembling, finishing, or combining several techniques.
The galleries above show more than just finished photos. Where available, you'll also see the original reference, work in progress, construction details, and the finished piece.
Because sometimes the most interesting part isn't just what was made. It's seeing how it got there.

Kennedy Laser Works is a small local workshop where custom projects are produced one at a time with hands-on attention throughout the process.
Depending on the project, that can include design work, laser cutting and engraving, layered construction, sanding, painting, assembly, and hand finishing.
It's a mix of modern laser precision and traditional hands-on craftsmanship, with the flexibility to make things that don't come out of a catalog.
Your idea doesn't have to be fully figured out.
